Addictions Counselor 1 (CK Post ATC)
Responsibilities for the counselor in this position include, but are not limited to the following:
o Provide individual counseling and case management services to patients in an inpatient facility. o Maintan a case load of patients with substance abuse and related problems o Conduct individual and group therapy and maintain all required documentation o Assess patient's psychosocial condition and prepare and carry out treatment plans and discharge plans o Participate in case presentations and reviews; work within a multidisciplinary treatment team o Determine the effects of alcohol and other drug use on patient functioning o Present educational materials to community groups patients, and other staff o Assess and develop appropriate discharge plan and help patient comply with recommended aftercare.

Salary Range:
From $50722 to $64557 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Currently employed as an Addictions Counselor 1 OR Current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in NYS and reachable on the Addictions Counselor 1 eligible list OR eligible for transfer. Applicants must possess current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
