Addictions Counselor Assistant (CK Post ATC)

Under the supervision of an Addictions Counselor, incumbent will be responsible for direct care of patients. Duties include but are not limited to: Serving as a team member; assist in providing individual and group counseling services, lead activities including activities/vocational and social; assist patients with health and safety issues that arise and direct them to the appropriate medical staff; transport patients in state issued van as needed; prepare documentation; supervise patients and ensure their safety. Monitor the reception area and facility for safety and security. Provide patient searches, breathalyzer screens and collect urine samples for drug screens.

Salary Range: From $41130 to $50405 Annually
Minimum Qualification
An Associate's degree with a specialization in Alcoholism, Substance Abuse or Chemical Dependency OR One year of full time employment in a field requiring the application of communication skills AND one year of experience in a direct treatment capacity working in an addictions treatment setting. Substitutions: 30 college credits in a human services field may be substituted for the one year of communication experience; 10 college credits in specific alcoholism, substance abuse or chemical dependency courses may be substituted for the one year of specialized experience; 150 clock hours of relevant addictions for CASAC credential eligibility may be substituted for the one year of specialized experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
