Your contribution at AIG
AIG is seeking an innovative and forward thinking associate claims director responsible for managing other claims examiners. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where new ideas are encouraged and will feel empowered to enact change to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The Claims Manger will balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, make sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.
As a great manager you will provide direction, motivate and grow talent, and empower and coach teams toward higher levels of performance.
Ensure prompt investigation and correct settlement and resolution of Life and Health Insurance claims.
Communicate with internal and external parties including clients, agents and AIG legal, underwriters, medical directors and more.
Identify and execute special projects to improve the claims experience and effectiveness.
What we are looking for
5-7 plus years of insurance claims experience, 3+ years focusing on life claims
Broad understanding of the legal and regulatory environments surrounding insurance claims
Knowledge of and experience working with leading insurance technologies and platforms a plus
Excellent written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders.
An individual who is innovative and forward thinking and proactively identifies and champions improvement projects.
1-3 years' experience managing staff, preferably in a financial services operations area.
High school education or equivalent experience working in the insurance industry. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
