Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the position PT Primary Counselor to work in our Outpatient Program located in our Brentwood, Long Island.
The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for the delivery of direct clinical services in a substance abuse treatment setting.
State Opioid Response (SOR) addresses the opioid crisis by in- creasing access to MAT; reducing unmet treatment need; and reducing opioid overdose-related deaths.
What You Will Do:
Facilitate various formats (e.
g.
individuals, groups, specialty groups) on time and in a professional, ethical and caring manner.
Manage all aspects of a caseload from date of entry to date of discharge with special attention to appropriate levels of care and appropriate clinical interventions.
Provide backup coverage in the event of other clinical staff absences.
Demonstrate initiative in task identification and completion; use time efficiently in working with the Site Director and Program Coordinator to effectively handle volume of work.
Address program issues with the Program Director, which pertain to strategic objectives, annual plan and overall delivery of services.
Participate in and support agency quality improvement programs; support actions to improve care and services based on outcome data.
Who You Are:
Advanced degree required; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or higher preferred.
Limited permit or clinical master's level candidate with relevant experience will be considered 2-3 years of experience with substance abuse disorders 1-2 years of experience working with clients with co-occurring and mental health problems 1-2 years of experience working in an OASAS funded facility a plus Experience working with individuals who are severely and persistently mentally ill required- if applicable Commitment to providing quality services and outcome-driven performance measures.
Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance clinicians, set and achieve program objectives.
Strong networking and public relations skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures.
Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people Experience with AVATAR electronic health records a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
