The Addictions Counselor 3 will supervise a multidisciplinary team providing addiction services and supports to clients who may have co-occurring mental health disorders. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Participates in the formulation, management, development, and oversight of services. o Provides full range of clinical and administrative supervision to subordinate staff; may act as shift supervisor. o Monitors clinical record-keeping to ensure compliance with OASAS and regulatory requirements; schedules quarterly case reviews. o Provides clinical consultation to staff and intervenes in more difficult or challenging cases. o Provides crisis intervention. o Ensures that individual and group counseling is provided to each client assigned to a case management team. o Provides direct clinical services to clients and may carry a case load. o Facilitates individual and group therapy, educational presentations and related tasks in support of quality client care and the total therapeutic environment. o Participates actively in the management/leadership committee and other committees or work groups as assigned. o May oversee specialized service components specific to an ATC, which may include:
women with children, co-occurring disorders, community residence services, and/or cultural specific services. o May transport clients using agency vehicles. o May serve as building supervisor in the absence of assigned ATC leadership. o Completes required client and facility documentation (both electronic and paper) adhering to applicable OASAS procedures and confidentiality regulations. o Outreach and communication with referral sources. o Tracks utilization and monthly statistical reports. o Coordinates with managed care/insurance companies. o Perform client screenings. o Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
From $71496 to $90657 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law OR Reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list Mandatory overtime (MOT) is a requirement of this position. Chosen candidate(s) will be added to the mandatory overtime roster, which is utilized on a rotating basis. The MOT is applied during times of emergency, when all other staffing options have been exhausted (volunteers, hourly staff, contracted staff). Our Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs) operate 24/7/365 programing. Therefore, MOT IS an essential function of this position and is critical to maintaining adequate staffing at all times in order to ensure the health and safety of clients within the facility. Candidate must possess current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
