Learn and understand the proper operation of the employees machine (Lathe / Mill).
Be responsible for that machine, report any problems to Management.
Use and be able to read micrometers, and bore gauges.
Learn and be able to indicate or zero parts on machines.
Grind parts to the specifications called for on Travelers.
Be familiar with the company computer system, knowing how to clock parts to locations and document the required paperwork.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Learn and understand the proper operation of your machine, reporting any problems to Management2.
Use and be able to read micrometers, and bore gauges3.
Center chucks on machine to accept parts for grinding4.
Machine indicate or zero parts on machines5.
Machine parts to the specifications called for on Travelers6.
Properly lubricate grinding equipment and parts7.
Use a power hand tool to grind or buff parts8.
Use proper hearing, eye, and foot protection as required9.
Understand the potential exposures to metal filings and particles.
Know and understand the dust recovery system and associated safety rules, and the potential exposures to grinding dust and dressing rock dust10.
Have knowledge and understanding of Appendix A.
Safety Procedures11.
Learn the proper use of the dot welding machine12.
Have knowledge and understanding of the AS9110 Quality Policy13.
Have knowledge and understanding of the Control of Non-conforming product14.
Have knowledge and understanding of the AS9110 Procedures that apply to your specific machine(s)15.
Comply with company rules and the dress code16.
Keep your assigned area and machine clean17.
Use all required safety equipment including machine guards and dust collectorsEducation / Experience Requirements:

Diploma or GED2.
Must speak, read and write the English language3.
Should have basic computer software skills4.
Should have intermediate mathematical skills (Concepts and calculations involving decimals, percentages, etc.
)5.
Should have knowledge of the use of measuring devices (micrometers, c-micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
)6.
Prior work experience in conventional machining (Mill / Lathe) helpful but not require.

Should be able to read blueprintsHave knowledge of and understand the Control of Non-conforming productHave knowledge and understanding of Suspected Unapproved PartsHave knowledge and understanding of all safety procedures applicable to the job or jobs being performedHave an understanding of how to look up SDS on any chemical they may come in contact withLanguage Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
